Well 80 undertook an extraordinary endeavor, establishing a local brewery and restaurant in Downtown Olympia, harnessing the natural spring of Well #80. Despite facing numerous challenges with city permitting, the team eventually secured approval to utilize this historic water source for brewing, intending to faithfully recreate the original Olympia beer recipe.

Throughout the project, Well 80 remained committed to preserving the building's heritage while incorporating a timeless industrial aesthetic, emphasizing durability and quality. This dedication to excellence was recognized with a prestigious Historic Preservation award from the city of Olympia.

Playing a pivotal role in the project, Bargreen Ellingson provided comprehensive interior design services, supplied top-of-the-line kitchen equipment, and furnished the space. Collaborating closely with Dave Herman, they ensured that the final result was not only a testament to the site's historical significance but also a destination celebrated for its exceptional beer offerings.

Having been a fixture of the Tacoma, Washington waterfront since 1981, the Lobster Shop brought in Bargreen Ellingson to help update the restaurant to code compliance and streamline the new operator’s flow and function of the space. Longtime partners E3 Restaurant Group knew our team would be up to the unique challenges of working on a location that’s been subjected to the waters of the Puget Sound for decades. 

Working in tandem with Wilcox Construction and Skidmore Architecture on construction and interior design respectively, Bargreen Ellingson’s focus was on modernizing their bar and kitchen while working around the existing systems like hoods and equipment that weren’t being replaced as well as providing new smallwares and millwork from our sister company Specialty Wood. Opening up just in time for summer, the Lobster Shop’s restoration is ready to become an icon for another generation of Tacoma locals.

Bargreen Ellingson was tasked with designing an open concept kitchen and bar at 46 North Pints & Provisions. The Bargreen Ellingson team collaborated with Wild CRG Architects and Enclave Development, drawing inspiration from Fargo's local heritage. Together, they crafted a space that embodies a casual atmosphere for guests. The front-of-house design, meticulously put together by Bargreen Ellingson, reflects the owners' vision, evident in the intricate details of ceiling treatments, lighting, wall treatments, and seating materials.

PCC (Puget Consumers Co-Op) is a grocery retailer that specializes in fresh, seasonal, and sustainable offerings throughout its stores. This location (in an up-and-coming area near downtown Bellevue) was the first of three design+builds we started with them in 2018. Bargreen Ellingson worked collaboratively with the customer to design a flow and layout that offered flexibility and efficiencies in their daily preparation and supply of made from scratch products. The Bargreen Design + Build Team contributed to the Deli & Self-Serve venues (including Coffee & Pizza!), as well as the Meat, Produce, and Cheese departments, supplying all the equipment and smallwares for this foodservice operation. The Bargreen Ellingson team was pleased to be a part of these locations, as PCC was the first Grocery retailer to open up stores in the US that met the Living Building Challenge - Ballard, West Seattle, and Bellevue.

Cork & Barrel is a beautifully designed space that epitomizes the collaborative design + build process at Bargreen Ellingson. In partnership with our sister company, Specialty Wood Mfg, the Bargreen Ellingson team carefully selected materials, finishes, and equipment to create a cohesive and functional space in alignment with the customer's expectations.

Despite supply chain challenges felt across the industry during the pandemic, the project management department ensured a well-organized inventory process and timely delivery of each project stage. With its unique combination of custom fabrication, millwork, and thoughtful design throughout the front of house and back, Cork & Barrel is a testament to the full-service experience, dedication, and attention to detail the Bargreen Ellingson team provides.

Chepo’s Mexican Restaurant began life as a family business in 1986. In 2018, they approached Bargreen Ellingson to help develop their new location. The Bargreen Ellingson team worked with Chepo’s all the way from design to opening and staff training. Over a five year period, the team presented designs for multiple potential locations and pivoted for each option's unique needs. 

Bargreen Ellingson worked with the client to create a color palette, find matching furnishings, and provide all equipment for the bar and kitchen. The team remained onsite the week after Chepo’s opened, training and guiding staff with the new equipment.

Bargreen Ellingson was brought in by Sockeye Brewery as they worked on a full remodel and reimagining of their Alehouse. The team was tasked with laying out and furnishing for the new rotunda, design and equipment specification for the kitchen and bar, procurement and delivery of smallwares, and selecting finishing materials. 

The Bargreen Ellingson team aimed to meet the clients vision while remaining nimble and pivoting where necessary to accommodate the space's design and layout. Whenever a challenge arose during the build, the team was able to modify existing fabrications to find a fix or quickly procure the necessary pieces of furniture while keeping the client satisfied.

Cooper’s Food & Drink was a project 40 years in the making. This location was the former home of several eateries and bars, leaving behind decades of renovations that required going all the way to the studs before bringing to life a new neighborhood destination. In collaboration with local restauranteurs, the Bargreen Ellingson Design + Build team reimagined this establishment into a space with a family-friendly dining room and attractive 21+ bar and lounge. Comfortable booths contour the main dining area, while spacious 4-seat tables fill the center. The lounge area is furnished with couches and a series of high and low-top tables line the roll-top garage door that allows patrons to enjoy the outdoor dining area with easy access to the bar. Completing the upgrades was a revised kitchen layout and all-new equipment.

Madison Valley Ranch is an award-winning, fly-fishing lodge located outside of Ennis, MT. Working with HC Design & Consulting, Bargreen Ellingson revamped the kitchen ergonomics and equipment to better meet the demands of their custom operation. A stainless-steel center island and plating counter with overhead heating lamps were outlined for flow and function. Cooktops, wash stations, and mounted racks were installed around the perimeter for space savings and additional workstations. 

In addition to an updated and more effective back of house experience for staff, the front of house seating features lodge comforts, rich woods, strong stonework, and views of the blue ribbon Madison River. Guests of the Ranch can truly get away from it all for the trip of a lifetime.

Just as the Monkeypod Tree enriches its surroundings, Monkeypod Kitchen aspires to nourish the community with the same spirit. By sourcing fresh ingredients from local farmers and vendors, Monkeypod Kitchen creates culinary experiences that mirror the abundance of the native Hawaiian tree.

Aligned with Monkeypod Kitchen's ethos, Bargreen Ellingson was inspired to bring this vision to fruition. Seamlessly integrating state-of-the-art equipment and crafting an impressive 66-foot bar, the team aimed to ensure an unforgettable guest experience.

Despite challenges like the rising water table and intricate permitting processes, Bargreen Ellingson, in collaboration with architect Mike Nicholls of Handcrafted Restaurants, meticulously designed a masterpiece that stands as a testament to dedication and innovation.

The relationship with Ziggi’s Coffee began when they only had a small handful of stores, and over the years the Bargreen Ellingson team has worked diligently to help them as they scale their business. In 2022, nearly all of Ziggi’s 62 locations nationwide were built by Bargreen Ellingson. Bargreen Ellingson has partnered with Ziggi’s corporate office and their franchise partners to supply all of their custom needs and all equipment, as well as working to provide solutions that increase Ziggi’s throughput while decreasing its operational costs

In partnership with Clevenger & Associates and Anchorage School District, Bargreen Ellingson worked to tie the existing Bartlett High School cafeteria with a brand new building to handle the growing student body. With a majority of this project occurring during the winter months, frigid temperatures added complexities to the new equipment programming and custom work installations. Upon completion, the flow and function of the kitchen and a custom-built serving counter allowed the school's staff to handle the high volume of traffic this cafeteria sees each day.

Transformation of the dining experience at the Adidas World Headquarters building was no small feat, requiring the addition of a new building between two existing structures. The Bargreen Ellingson Design + Build Team was brought on to assist in creating an updated cafe and dining area, two catering kitchens, and additional serving stations within the new building. Strategically adding separation between the two kitchen/servery areas offered greater operational flexibility, and the addition of holding cabinets, self-ordering kiosks, and a dish drop carousel reduced wait times for employees.

The Smeraldo Family placed their trust in Bargreen Ellingson to design one of Bellevue, Washington's most stunning and iconic restaurants. Collaborating closely with Maria Smeraldo, our team worked tirelessly to craft a space that would captivate and delight guests.

Starting from scratch, the team meticulously designed nearly every facet of the space. Despite encountering numerous challenges during the construction process, the partnership with Geoff Lundquist Architects proved invaluable in overcoming these hurdles and realizing the Smeraldo family's vision for the restaurant.

Pig & Turnip is a contemporary take on German-ish cuisine with a mix of old-world charm and a modern atmosphere. It started as a food cart operation in 2015 and has evolved into a freestanding location in 2022. In Bargreen Ellingson's second project with Shield Bistro owner Natasha Shield, this new quick-service restaurant is a high-volume, to-go operation, which includes a full bar that serves as the focal point of the dining room and features innovative robotic servers. With a walk-up ordering counter, the restaurant seamlessly flows into the bar with southern windows, allowing passersby a view into the inviting space. 

The interior design blends rustic beech wood elements and industrialized metals with modern materials and warm saffron yellow tones. Unique design features like laser cinder block columns with back-lit frosted panels in the bar and an abstract turnip logo displayed in the custom laminate as part of the tabletop design, create confidence that guests will experience something more than the ordinary dining experience here.

As the industry evolves in both cuisine and innovation, the need for collective experiences and opportunities for up-and-coming chefs is in demand. Enter Avanti Food & Beverage, Boulder. Located in Colorado's famous Pearl Street Mall, the former Cheesecake Factory underwent a comprehensive renovation project to become Avanti Boulder. Spanning four stories in the densely populated Colorado city, this project required the Bargreen Ellingson Design + Build team to shut down major streets to operate a crane to lift heavy equipment to the rooftop, but with experience and resources of the team this project was completed under budget and ahead of time.

Epoch is the perfect blend of food, gaming, and creativity, making it Wenatchee’s ultimate gaming lounge. Offering virtual reality experiences, video games, and classic board games, Epoch focuses on crafting the perfect atmosphere for gaming enthusiasts of all kinds. The Bargreen Ellingson Design + Build team collaborated to translate the client's love of gaming and craft cocktails into an experiential space. Enlisting the expertise of Bargreen Ellingson's corporate chef Nick Musser, a menu was developed featuring delicious shareable plates prepared with ventless cooking technology to accommodate the available kitchen space. The design team worked endlessly to incorporate integral elements of gaming life into the concept, including a one-of-a-kind back bar wall emulating a functioning electrical circuit with custom fabrication from our sister company, Specialty Wood Manufacturing. This project culminated in a unique and stunning space that leaves guests inspired and entertained.

Bargreen Ellingson embarked on an exciting endeavor to revitalize the historic Poodle Dog diner in Fife, WA. With a legacy dating back to 1933, the diner has welcomed countless guests over the years. Bargreen Ellingson’s dedicated team swiftly initiated the transformation, commencing with a comprehensive back-of-house kitchen remodel. Additionally, they embarked on a complete interior design overhaul to enhance the front-of-house ambiance. Employing top-quality commercial-grade materials, we ensured durability for years to come. Collaborating with Bargreen Ellingson’s sister company, Specialty Wood, and Mike Brinkman of All4Construction, the team meticulously crafted the millwork, infusing the space with its original charm and character.

The Canadian Coastguard outlined a challenging assignment to the Bargreen Ellingson Design + Build Team with a kitchen renovation on the CCGS Corporal Kaebel, a Canadian Patrol Vessel. Following a new design and equipment recommendation, the Head Chef and Chief of the Class met with the Bargreen Ellingson team and supplier partners for a demonstration to ensure their unique requirements and quality standards would be met. The equipment and supplies were then ordered, custom stainless housings were fabricated, and installation was completed within 30 days. Closing out the project included training of the Kaebel's two chefs before the vessel and its crew of 14 returned to service.

One of Colorado’s most lauded restaurants, OAK at Fourteenth, underwent a major remodel and enlisted Bargreen Ellingson to redesign its main kitchen while retaining the same feel the restaurant has become known for. While adding many custom elements and some major horsepower to the main cooking line, the Bargreen Ellingson team was able to utilize much of the existing infrastructure to keep the costs down and do it all with only a 10-day closure!

The kitchen and cafeteria renovation for the Boys & Girls Club of Ada County took this community staple from 700 square feet to nearly 3500 square feet and capable of accommodating up to 400 children. Kitchen upgrades included a customized combination walk-in cooler and freezer unit, a combination oven with a 6-burner range, and a 40-gallon braising skillet. The Bargreen Ellingson team strategically worked to help maximize the Club's budget and space, helping them to continue serving their local community for many years to come.
