The Scalloped Paring has a slip resistant polypropylene handle which can withstand both hot and cold temperatures. The blade is made out of proprietary Dexsteel which is a stain free high carbon steel that has been individually ground to create the specially designed scallops. The Paring has no trouble easily cutting through tough rinds and other thick skins on fruits and vegetables. The blade to handle seal is impervious making the Knife extremely sanitary.
