The Granton Edge Slicer is constructed out of high carbon stain free German steel and has a full tang. The handle is triple riveted for security and balance it is also molded out of delrin allowing for comfort while cutting. The Slicer has a shortened bolster in order to make sharpening particularly easy. The blade has been taper ground for a long lasting sharp edge. The blade also has a granton edge which is a small scalloped pattern along the cutting edge which helps create air pockets while cutting to push food from the blade and reduce friction.
