The Benriner Mandolin Slicer has 4 blades. The blades included with the Slicer are a straight edge for wide slices, a coarse toothed blade for chunky cuts, a medium toothed for narrow julienne slices and a fine-toothed blade for elegant garnishes. The Mandolin is constructed out of durable plastic and a handcrafted Japanese stainless steel blade. There is a large open handle which allows for a comfortable secure grip. An easy turn dial adjusts thickness of slices and a safety guard holds foods securely and keeps fingers out of harms way. The Mandolin is able to securely hook onto bowls to collect slices and non skid rubber base allows for stability during use.
